Priorities:

Mr. G.S. Sharma is a person who is working for the vulnerable people. Especially for the people of rural, tribal and backward community. He is well known in the development and voluntary sector in the world. He made a remarkable change in the area and is working around with his pioneering work. Under his leadership in less than a decade, RBKS expanded its work to deal with issues of agriculture, water management, education, income generation, health hygiene & Sanitation and women’s issues in over 641 villages in Rajasthan, Gujrat and Madhya Pradesh.

Moral Influences

While growing up, G.S. Sharma was strongly influenced by his father Pt. Jeeavat Ram Sharma, a visionary and founder of RBKS. His life inspired him to follow his footsteps. His vision of the social entrepreneurship and activism in personal life surely must have been influenced by some of the extraordinary events that occurred while he was still a young man.

Mr. Gulab Chand Katariya, Ex. Home Minister Awarded Mr. Sharma for his contribution towards Tribal Development on Republic Day (2006)

In the leadership of Mr. Sharma, a Regional Conference of Scout Officers was organized at the tribal dominated area of Jhadol (Ph.). It proves his ability of leadership and his interests in scouts. His motivation helped the scouts achieving a sound and top position in this region as a result such a high level of conference was organized in this tribal dominated area.

It was the guidance and encouragement of Mr. Sharma that motivated to scouts for their high level performance, which fruitful resulted as 10 Scouts received Rashtrapati Award" from The President of India.

C. Hindustan Scouts and Guides India
Scouting is a movement that aims to support young people in their physical, mental and spiritual development, that they may play constructive roles in society, with a strong focus on the outdoors and survival skills. During the first half of the 20th century, the movement grew to encompass three major age groups for boys (Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Rover Scout) and, in 1910, a new organization, Girl Guides, was created for girls (Brownie Guide, Girl Guide, and Girl Scout, Ranger Guide). It is one of the worldwide youth organizations. Presently 3.5 Cr. child and youth benefited all over India under his leadership as National General Secretary of Hindustan Scout and Guide.
